Trailer 3 – X-Men: Days of Future Past

It’s finally here! The new and final trailer for the upcoming summer blockbuster, X-Men: Days of Future Past.

The new film is based on the 1981 Uncanny X-Men storyline “Days of Future Past” by Chris Claremont and John Byrne. The X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-Men: Days of Future Past. The characters from the original X-Men film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from X-Men: First Class in a battle that must change the past – to save their future.

I’ve been ranting and raving about this film for the past two years… mostly due to the large and extremely talented cast:

Starring Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult….these are a few of my favourite things…and supported by Halle Berry, Lucas Till, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Anna Paquin…to name a few. It also features the addition of new friends and foes, including Evan Peters as Quicksilver, Peter Dinklage as Bolivar Trask (the creator of the ominous mutant-hunting “Sentinel” robots) and Omar Sy as the time travelling Bishop (a fan-favourite).

X-Men: Days of Future Past is an important and much revered story in the cannon of the X-Men universe. Clips and behind the scenes featurettes have been littering the internet and televised events.

Marvel and Fox Studios are pulling a lot of weight for an absolutely stunning viral marketing campaign, which includes a fictional retelling of 25 moments of mutant history – creating conspiracy theories and alternate histories of important events from the past 50 years.

The hype for this film is outstanding – hoping that it X-ceeds my X-pectations.
