2015 Academy Awards Nominees

Here we go….here are the nominees for the 2015 Academy Awards. Some pretty big snubs this year – with Golden Globes frontrunners and nominees getting completely left out! Some of these snubs are unforgivable – Gone Girl is gone from the list of best picture nominees, Force Majeure failed to get a foreign picture nomination, LEGO Movie was left out for best animated picture, Jake Gyllenhaal and David Oyelowo deserved best actor noms for Nightcrawler and Selma, and Ava DuVernay really deserved a directorial nod for Selma. Others opened up opportunities for some truly great performances (I’ll take Marion Cotillard over Jennifer Aniston every time), and some came way out of left field (Bradley Cooper might be surprised to learn that he’s been nominated).  Ah well…. Start your predictions!
